Scopus Solar is a proposed 200-megawatt solar and 200-megawatt battery storage project under development in Bollinger and Cape Girardeau Counties. Vesper Energy is developing the project and is responsible for it through construction, operations, and eventually decommissioning, when all equipment is removed. We engage directly with residents, landowners, local officials, emergency services, and local agencies to understand community priorities and maintain open communication. Our goal is to be a responsible, reliable partner that Bollinger and Cape Girardeau Counties can count on through the development, construction, and life of the project.

About Scopus Solar

Scopus Solar is a proposed 200-megawatt solar and 200-megawatt battery storage project developed by Vesper Energy. The project will consist of solar panels and battery storage installed in Bollinger and Cape Girardeau Counties. Operation is anticipated to begin in 2027.

Scopus Solar is expected to operate for up to 50 years. During that time, the project will create good-paying construction jobs, support full-time skilled operations and positions, provide long-term income for participating landowners, and generate new tax revenue for Bollinger and Cape Girardeau County schools, public health services, first responders, and roads.
